I have never been a fan of telephoto lenses because they squash perspective which I find un-natural. I always use a very slightly wide lenses (40mm) which seems best. With my new camera I have a lens which is about 70mm (about 1.5 magnification) and I made a few photographs on Cuba St today. I quite like the feeling of the one above.
